OPTIONAL Reading Logs: 

 In order to gain confidence and fluency in reading, I am encouraging each first grader to read at least fifteen minutes every evening at home Monday-Thursday.

Please take time to read: To him/her, With him/her, Or listen to him/her read by himself/herself.

        If you do not have books available at your child’s reading level, please let me know.  As an optional activity each night, your child MAY fill out the Reading Log found in their PINEAPPLE binder.  If your child chooses to read and fill out a Reading Log, I will look at them daily.  I LOVE SEEING WHAT THE STUDENTS READ!!!

Students who fill out a reading log completely, will earn a prize out of our classroom prize box.
